Community Impact Project

The Community Impact Project is one arm of the Tennessee Rural Impact Project (TRIP). The purpose of this specific initiative is to promote collaboration between community organizations and rural elementary schools. Each school involved in TRIP was invited to create a Community Engagement Council, composed of school administrators, teachers, and community partners. The Councils worked together to identify assets that already exist within their community and ways to engage those assets.

After completing an orientation with the TRIP Leadership Team, the Community Engagement Councils completed a project application. Each application was reviewed by the TRIP Leadership Team before the councils received their final approval for their project. TRIP awards $5,000 to each council to then implement their project.

We are excited to share the results of these projects at the Inspiring Connections in Education Conference in July 2025!
